Will Coetzer

Managing Partner

Will is a resources industry entrepreneur and highly experienced mining consultant with a network of senior professionals from across the sector. 

His contacts include corporate and executive teams, leaders in operations and project development, and professionals from associated industries such as consultancy, legal, finance, private equity and trading houses. 

In a career spanning more than a decade Will has delivered consultancy, executive search and advisory services to a global client base spanning every continent and more than 45 countries.

Before founding Stratum International, Will established and managed the International and Emerging Markets Mining Desk for a NASDAQ-listed executive search firm.


Jane Banks

Principal Consultant

Jane has an 18-year proven track record in International Executive Search, including more than 11 years' mining industry experience across senior Corporate and Operations roles, including 600+ global searches. 

Specialising in cross-cultural issues, she has been called upon to assist the start-up of numerous multi-billion dollar green-field projects across most emerging markets, including secondments and consulting in-house alongside client teams. 

With a network that includes COO and VP level executives, General Managers and technical site management teams, Jane heads up Stratum’s North American presence. 


Larisa Bouwer

Principal Consultant

Larisa’s executive search, recruitment and HR career span 14 years supporting global organisations. She has a unique combination of talent acquisition and HR technology experience in large, international as well as rapidly expanding medium-sized organisations. Her experience includes working with Trafigura companies and IBM.

Following a successful early career as a specialist technology Headhunter in London, she ran a talent management function for an international commodity trading technology vendor. She also implemented a global recruitment strategy for an ambitious, fast growing, global Oil & Gas organisation with a strong presence in developing countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Most recently at IBM, she helped world-class organisations across the US, UK, and Europe to optimise the assessment and management of their top talent by using IBM’s industry-first Artificial Intelligence Talent Management solutions.

The combination of Larisa’s skills and experience compliments Stratum’s ongoing quest to enhance their proven, proactive approach with technology-driven solutions.

Annelize Lombard


Annelize has nearly 20 years’ HR and Recruitment experience, including the last 10 years in mining. She started her career as a Management & Development Consultant, and became an Assessments and Psychometrics expert with companies including Daimler-Chrysler and Vodacom, before commencing a career in recruitment.

 Her resources industry experience includes Fluor’s TRS Staffing, as well as extensive mining recruitment consultancy experience. Over the last decade, her mining recruitment experience has helped her develop extensive networks at senior level through her focus on technical leadership hiring across the globe.

Lisa Gregory

Operations Manager

Bringing over twelve years' experience to the role, Lisa is jointly responsible for general operations management, administration, compliance and HR. Lisa's main function is to ensure Stratum Consultants maintain consistency with all data policies and procedures within the business…and to keep everyone on their toes.
